She Will Be Loved Chapter Two
She laid in bed that night with a blank expression on her face. James and his drinking buddies were watching Monday night football. Her breathing was light and uneven. She was still horrified about what had happened earlier. It had began to rain. She listen to the soft pitter-patter of each drop. She was almost asleep when she heard a knock on the door. Following James' usual orders, she scrambled out of bed and rushed to the door.
There were three young boys standing on the doorstep with a stretcher and a body bag. She glanced over their shoulders and saw the black hearse parked in her driveway. They were from the funeral home down the road

Her flawless smile, never fades
With one petite gloved hand, she waves

A long flowing blue dress, and heels to match
She slowly walks down the steps
Hand in hand with the prince
And the music begins

But where am I?
I am in the crowd
Wishing I could make a move
Wishing I could make a sound

Trying to loosen the knots in my throat
I try to scream out
But I'm still in my head, weeping
I take one last glance
As I dream of a forbidden dance

No one saw the gun
All they saw was her frail body,
A massacre like no other

There were rope burns on her neck
And a stab wound in her chest
Her eyes, horror stricken
Her last glimpse of her killer

Cold, frigid hands in prayer formation
Begging for mercy
Still, lifeless lips that will never utter another sound
Her last breath, screaming
Dried blood on her dark satin dress
By the road with a black rose
