Youth and Whiskey ch1

"Savanna? Vanna! Wake up!" My best friend Liz shook me until I woke up.

"What's going on?" I sat up.

"We have to leave in an hour! Get up!"

Shit. I forgot we started Warped Tour today. I'm in a band called Hate Filled Veins; I'm the singer/screamer. Liz, my best friend is the bassist. Aiden's the drummer, Kyle and Cameron play guitar. This is our first Warped Tour and we're psyched to play.

-Hey babe! I can't wait to see you today! Xoxo- I got a text from my boyfriend, Ronnie Radke from Falling In Reverse. He's playing at Warped too.

-I know honey! Can't wait either(:- I texted back.

I really wasn't all excited to see him. We barely ever see each other since we're both busy with our bands and such. But he lives in Las Vegas and I live in Los Angeles. Every time we get off a tour, he starts one, and vice versa. And we fight a lot.  When we're not fighting, we're barely talking and Jacky's always telling me he's with these girls, it makes me insecure. I would never cheat, but I have thought about it in the past.

I got up and got dressed. I put on white skinnies with a white and blue striped tank top. I put on black sandals. My stuff was already packed for Warped, I brought it out to my car and put it in my trunk. Liz was downstairs doing her hair.

"Kyle has the bus at his house, that's where we're meeting the guys," Liz said.

"Alright," me and Liz live together and the guys all live on their own.

"So is Ronnie meeting you there?" she asked.

I nodded, "Yep."

"How are things between you and him?"

"Not so good, but hey, I live with it."

Liz stood up and gave me a hug. "Vanna, if you're not happy, do something about it."

"I can't do it, he'd be heartbroken."

"This isn't about him, it's about you," she let go.

"I know, but I'm not ready to let go yet," Tears started to roll down my cheeks.

That's what's hard about this. I don't want to be with him, but at the same time I can't let him go.
We walked out to the car, Liz was driving. I was still crying a little bit. She turned on the radio. A Black Veil Brides song was playing, it was Knives and Pens.

"I love BVB," I smiled. "They always cheer me up."

"I heard they're playing Warped too," Liz smiled with me, "I hope we get to meet them."

Before the song was over, we were already at Kyle's. The guys were sitting outside, smoking.

"We're already packed," Cameron said. "Go put your stuff on."

I opened the trunk and carried my things out onto the bus. I sat down on my bunk and looked around. The bus still looked the same, and still smelled the same. It felt like home. The guys and Liz climbed on, we were ready to go.

-Ashley Purdy's POV-

We were almost at Bakersfield, California. The first date of Warped Tour. This is Black Veil Brides first Warped Tour, and we're all stoked. I fell asleep in my bunk, and when I woke up we were there. Andy woke me up.

I hopped off my bunk and walked off the bus to see Jake, Jinxx, and CC running around with water guns. They squirted me and I tackled Jake to the ground. Jinxx and CC jumped on me and we all started wrestling.

"Come on guys," Andy laughed. "Let's go walk around."

We got up and were walking past the rows of tour buses. I saw one bus that said 'Hate Filled Veins." I looked around to see if there was anyone from the band outside. I wanted to meet Savanna, she was the screamer and singer. I was a huge fan of the band, especially her. I thought it was amazing that she could scream.

"Hey, you guys go ahead, I'll catch up later," I said.

"You sure Ash?" CC asked.

I nodded and smirked, "Uh yeah, I wanna look at something."

The guys walked ahead, and I started to pace around the bus. I heard a female voice. She was somewhat yelling. I walked a little faster and I saw her, it was Savanna! Tears had started to fall and she was yelling on the phone.

"Ronnie! Will you please just stop fighting with me! I'm trying my best okay?" she screamed. She hung up and threw the phone on the ground.

"Are you okay?" I asked running up to her.

"Ashley Purdy?" The tears instantly stopped.

"You're Savanna Moore right?" I laughed.

Her face lit up, "I can't believe Ashley Purdy knows my name!"

I laughed and held out my hand. "Nice to meet you Savanna."

She took it and shook it. "It's great to meet you Ashley, you're a real inspiration."

She picked up her phone and we started walking.

"I've wanted to meet you for a while, you're screaming is just, there's no words for it. I never thought I'd hear a girl that could scream so well. It's amazing, you're amazing." I was staring at my feet as we walked.

"Well, your bass playing is amazing, I love BVB," she smiled.

She had a gorgeous smile.

"So who were you on the phone with?" I asked.

"Ronnie."

"Radke?"

"Yeah, he's my boyfriend," she rolled her eyes.

"What don't you like him?" I chuckled.

She laughed,"I do, but he's changed since we've started dating."

I nodded, "I hate when people do that."

"Finally!" she beamed, "Someone who feels the same way!"

I laughed. "I feel a bit starstruck," I blushed.

"Why?" she grinned.

"I don't know, I don't usually feel this way," I said getting butterflies.

~I don't get butterflies over just any girl.~
